HOW TO SEE A DOCTORcalendar

TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT – Tel: 0115 9333737
All consultations are by appointment. Please make routine appointments in person or by phone from 9.00 am onwards Monday to Friday.

Appointments are available on the same day for acute problems. Please ring between 8.00 am and 9.00 am if you need to see a doctor on the same day. All urgent requests are assessed by a GP,  who will call patients back between 9.00 am and 9.30 am. and arrange an appointment where needed.

Please ask for a longer appointment if you are aware you need extra time. If more than one member of the family is to be seen, please book separate appointments to avoid delays for other patients. Ideally, children under 16 years should be accompanied by an adult. Non-urgent appointments can be booked with a doctor up to four weeks in advance. You could also book a telephone consultation with any doctor for queries and reviews that do not need a face-to-face consultation.

FOR EMERGENCIES – Tel: 0115 9332948
There is always an on-call doctor on duty. If you feel you need to be seen urgently you may find the receptionist asks for your telephone number for the on-call doctor or practice nurse to call you back. This is to establish the nature of your problem and whether you need telephone advice, a surgery appointment or a home visit.

RADCLIFFE-ON-TRENT EXTENDED OPENING HOURS green_clock

Patient opinon surveys undertaken by ourselves locally, and the Government nationally, have identified a desire for extended opening hours in General Practice. In light of this we have extended our opening hours to be available earlier in the mornings. We hope this will allow those of you who work or attend school and college to make a more convenient appointment.

During this extra time, emergencies and urgent medical problems will continue to be dealth with by NHS 111 / NEMS our out -of-hours service provider. They continue to be responsible for urgent problems from 6.30 pm to 08.00 am.

There will be no doctor available for urgent problems at the surgery, and the phone lines will not be open. For urgent problems please phone 9332948 as usual and you will put through to the emergency service..

PARTNERS HEALTH EXTENDED GP EVENING AND WEEKEND OPENING HOURS

As a Rushcliffe patient you can now access routine appointments in the evenings and at weekends. These appointments are best suited for things that will not need ongoing review by your usual practice.

You can book through your surgery during opening hours for appointments between 6.30pm and 8pm in the evening on weekdays and between 8.30am and 12.30pm at weekends.  If you request one of these appointments, which are outside of usual working hours you will be offered a slot with a Rushcliffe GP, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant at one of three locations across the borough. The location will depend on the day of your appointment.

The additional evening and weekend appointments will be available at:

  • East Bridgford Medical Centre
  • Castle Healthcare Practice in West Bridgford
  • Keyworth Medical Practice

As you may not be seeing your usual GP, you will need to give consent for the GP you are seeing to have access to your medical records and to send information about your consultation back to your usual GP.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL EXTENDED HOURS APPOINTMENTS ARE PREBOOKABLE ONLY BY CONTACTING YOUR OWN GP PRACTICE.

THERE IS NO WALK IN SERVICE OFFERED. IF YOU REQUIRE URGENT ASSISTANCE BEFORE 8AM OR AFTER 6.30PM, PLEASE CALL 111.
